Pond Pumps
All well designed and well built water features and pond installations will last many years, probably decades, without any maintenance (apart from a good clean every so often). Water pumps and any other moving parts that are a part of the installation are another matter. Pond pumps need regular maintenance but also have a finite lifespan so will need replacing from time to time. We carry great quality water feature and pond pumps at great prices and can deliver within a matter of days to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. We also carry all the filters, pipes, nozzles and water treatment chemicals that you need.
Water Feature Maintenance
In addition to keeping your water pump clean you should give the entire water feature a clean every year or two (depending on its position in the garden and the weather conditions in your area). There will be algae growth almost irrespective of how clean the water is and it’s a good idea to remove this from time to time so it doesn’t permanently stain the water feature.
If the feature includes deep water in parts you may need to empty it to get to the bottom. If you don’t clean it thoroughly from time to time you can end up with dirty water that starts to smell and that is certainly something you don’t want.
